News: Just Cause 2
Just got finished playing Just Cause 2, a fairly new title developed by Eidos & Avalanche. I was fairly skeptical of it due to the 81 metascore on metacritic, but decided to rent it with Gamefly. At first, I was pretty turned off due to the highly repetitive missions (HIGHLY), but after exploring the vast world, I realized it offered so much more.

LA Noire: First Impressions
L.A. Noire is the newest Rockstar (GTA4, Red Dead Redemption) game created by Team Bondi ( The Getaway). The game is set in the late 1940’s in Los Angeles. The main character, Phelps, is a war veteran rising through the ranks from police officer to detective. The game is presented in mini episodes (one case per episode) and flashbacks. Once you finish a case, you go straight to the next one. Having played four cases where the character moves from police officer to detective, here are my initi...

At the Quakecon 2010 Keynote, John Carmark game a demonstration of their upcoming game Rage running on an iPhone 4 at a smooth 60 frames per second. News: Battlefield 3 - 12 min "Fault Line" Trailer
Wow. I'm not much of an MW or BF player but the first 12 minutes of the game are visually impressive, probably the best graphics and animations I've ever seen. Lots of game has great graphics but if the animations are not up to par (The Witcher 2), the game suffers considerably.
News: Shadows of the Dammed Trailer
Remember Grindhouse, the Quentin Tarantino & Robert Rodriguez homage to B films? Well this game is just like that. It could literally pass off as the third feature in that movie. The action looks clunky, the acting is not the best, but it still looks like a fun ride. It comes out tomorrow (June 21st) and I'll have first impressions ready the next day.
News: Force Unleased 2 Comic Con Preview
If you want Star Wars, look to the games and not the movies to satisfy your hunger. The original Force Unleashed was a great game and a surprise hit. Later next year another Star Wars MMO will debut from Bioware. Maybe the Star Wars novels are also a good source for Star Wars material, but that's a realm I know nothing about.
