News: Singstar Dance, Dance Central, or Just Dance 2?

Singstar Dance, Dance Central, or Just Dance 2?

The contenders:

PS3: Singstar Dance

360: Harmonix's Dance Central

Wii: Just Dance 2

Out of the three  'god do I really dance like that?' upcoming games, which one is better? Singstar Dance will come out for the PS3 using the new Move controllers and Harmonix (Rock Band) will release Dance Central for Kinect on the 360. The Wii will follow up with a game that has already sold millions.

Here is the promo for Singstar Dance:

Dorky, maybe? I wonder if the score will reflect just the position of the Move controller or if the Eyetoy camera will capture the full body movement. This game and Just Dance have the same feel since they use a similar controller and mechanics to capture your movement.

Here is a really good intro for Dance Central at E3:

Not bad. But the real question is, can you imagine yourself doing it? In front of others? hmm.. I wonder how many bottles of whatever will it take for that to happen. Harmonix is a music game studio, and from the demonstration it looks like they are doing all the steps necessary to make this game a learning, yet ever so embarrassing fun game.

Here is the official promo for Harmonix's Dance Central:

Doesn't really show much does it? The E3 presentation was much better at showing people what to expect.

Not to be left out in the cold, the mothership of current dancing games Just Dance 2 for the Wii will be coming out too:

This game has the better promo video from  all three, but it faces the same problem that the PS3 version has: How does one controller capture full body movement? Well these are casual games, so fun is more important than details. It will be interesting to see which one will be a hit this holiday season.
